Yes, this is another Dolphin Hospital release courtesy of NAZLO RECORDS, his most recent. Album length, side A live in Berlin, Side B live in Nantes, France, no idea if an audience was involved. Sounds as if this is composed with tape loops, synthesiser, samples and effects. Music concréte / psychedelia. Very crude cosmic ambience and awry sounds. Some dreamy synth on this one sweeping over unstable grounds. The flip side in Nantes really opens up and creeps around. The audio matches the visual in a sense that that there’s a very rustic feel, searching for rhythm with sparse and deteriorating sounds, pieces that are unresolved. There’s a somewhat poignant feel I get from this, but I’m not really sure why. Trippy and dynamic, two deep pieces that demand intimate listen. The anonymity of this artist and label I can’t help to find alluring.
Highly recommend, I actually think this is the pick of the two I'm stocking of this artist. Recycled tape, found images of 1920's/photography from the street. I have tested briefly, sounds fine.
